Currently an All-star National Competitor in West Coast Swing, Cindy’s creative and unique style has evolved from a variety of life experiences including intense training and study of classical ballet and contemporary dance.  At age 3, Cindy became enthralled with ballet and studied for 8 years under Ballet Mistress Hildegard Hamme (Province Theater, Germany) in Hanover, Pennsylvania.   Cindy studied another 2 years at the Hanover Academy of Dance under the instruction of Ms. Barbara Hare who took over after the retirement of Ms. Hildegard Hamme.  From 1990 to 1998, Cindy trained at The Dance Center (aka Brandywine Ballet) in West Chester, Pennsylvania studying under the Ballet Mistress Donna Muzio (Joffrey Ballet, Vaganova Method), Ballet Master Richard Hoskinson (NYC Ballet, Studied with George Balanchine), Ms. Nancy Page (Sarasota Ballet, Brandywine Ballet), and Jeffery Gribler (Pennsylvania Ballet).  In addition, Cindy studied contemporary dance from 1994-1997 and performed under Ms. Lina McMenamin and Mr. Tim Early for the Opus 1 Contemporary Company (Philadelphia).

During 1992-1997, Cindy also performed with several Color Guards under the artistic direction of Mr. Donnie Jenness Jr. (University of Delaware) and Mr. Todd Marcocci (West Chester Field of View Colorguard, and Sun Productions).  These performances included the State Championship Outdoor Color Guard in 1996 and several televised Philadelphia holiday parades including a tribute performed on the steps of the Philadelphia Art Museum in 1995.  From 1997-2000, Cindy trained and competed as a Collegiate 3-event (slalom, trick, jump) Waterskier for Eckerd College qualifying 3 years for the Collegiate All-star Tournament.

In 2001, Cindy was introduced to the swing dancing and began studying Lindy Hop, Balboa, Charleston, and several other swing dances.  She had the great opportunity to learn from Nathalie Gomes and Yuval Hod, Frankie Manning, Kevin St. Laurent, and several other amazing dancers.   In 2003, Cindy began focusing on West Coast Swing and was strongly influenced by champions such as Beata Howe, Robert Royston, John Lindo, and Laureen Baldovi-Mason.

Throughout her years of swing dancing, Cindy has competed in many National Competitions and has earned the status of All-star for West Coast Swing.  Notable to her signature style, Cindy brings her balance, center, shaping, and technique to create unique spins.  Her most prestigious award was winning the 2007 Open Jack and Jill Championship at the Grand Nationals Dance Championship.  Aside from any placements, Cindy most of all enjoys entertaining and bringing happiness to the audience through performing.  Sharing her passion for dance and integrating creativity and technique inspires others to dance.
